Yacht catches fire in Aberdeen

Authorities suspect a short circuit caused a yacht to catch fire in Aberdeen on Monday morning.

No one was injured.

Police said they received multiple reports at around 10am that a vessel in the Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter was on fire, with black smoke billowing into the air.

The Fire Services Department mobilised 17 fire engines and four fireboats. The blaze was put out about an hour and a half later.
