Woman dies after being knocked over in Chai Wan

A woman has died after being knocked over by a private car, while crossing Shek O Road in Chai Wan.

Police say the 51-year-old suffered serious head injuries in the incident, which happened near To Tei Wan at about 1.30pm on Sunday. She was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, in an unconscious state, and certified dead just after 4pm.

Police have arrested a 39-year-old woman, who was driving the private car, on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
