Various lockdowns pick up over 900 Covid cases

Authorities said on Sunday that hundreds of coronavirus infections have been picked up from the lockdowns of several residential blocks across Hong Kong.

Officials said 215 out of 1390 people tested at Oi Yee House of Yau Oi Estate in Tuen Mun came back preliminary positive for Covid-19, while 223 Oi Lok House residents also came down with the virus.

Also in Tuen Mun, 41 residents of Block 1 of Tsui Ning Garden were infected.

A lockdown of Wai Tung House of Tung Tau (II) Estate in Wong Tai Sin, meanwhile, found 34 preliminary positive infections.

138 infections were picked up from Shun Man House of Oi Man Estate at Ho Man Tin, while 101 residents of Nga Yuen House of Chuk Yuen South Estate in Wong Tai Sin tested preliminary positive.

Separately,188 residents of Yin Tat House of Kwun Tong’s On Tat Estate were infected.

The government said it will follow up on these cases accordingly.
