Two arrested over ‘false’ jab exemption certificates

Police on Thursday said they had arrested a nurse and the woman in charge of a clinic in Kwun Tong for allegedly conspiring to give out falsified medical certificates for vaccine exemptions.

The pair, aged 28 and 69, are suspected of conspiracy to forge documents.

Officers said they received intelligence that the clinic had been giving out medical certificates without carrying out checks on patients and their records.

They alleged that a doctor, who is not in Hong Kong, was involved in issuing the certificates, adding that hundreds could have been given out in this manner since the government’s vaccine pass was introduced earlier this year.
