Tuen Mun lockdown turns up 41 Covid cases

Health officials on Monday found 41 preliminary positive Covid cases following an overnight lockdown at Block 3 of Tsui Ning Garden in Tuen Mun. With 704 people tested, the figure amounts to just under 6 percent of the block.

On Sunday, Hong Kong reported more than 32,000 new coronavirus cases and 190 Covid-related deaths.

Authorities sealed off the building at about 3 pm on Sunday after the virus was found in sewage samples.
