Three lockdowns over preliminary positive Covid cases

The government on Sunday night locked down three residential blocks in Tuen Mun, Tai Kok Tsui and Tai Po, after residents there tested preliminary positive for Covid-19.

The first two lockdowns are for Tower 8 of Aegean Coast on Castle Peak Road – So Kwun Wat, as well as Tower 2 of Harbour Green on Shum Mong Road.

The exercises are scheduled to be completed by 7am on Monday.

Officials say they cannot trace the source of infection for the 20-year-old woman who lives in Tuen Mun.

The other preliminary case involves a 43-year-old woman who went to the birthday party last Monday attended by nearly two hundred people.

Officials also locked down Mei Sun Building on Kau Hui Chik Street in Tai Po for the second time in four nights.

The building was locked down after another preliminary positive case was detected there.
