Three cases found in Kwai Chung and Tai Po lockdowns

Health officials said on Thursday a total of three preliminary positive Covid cases were found during two overnight lockdowns in Kwai Chung and Tai Po, during which nearly 4,000 people were tested for the coronavirus.

Two of the preliminary positive tests came from Yam Yue House in Shek Yam East Estate, in Kwai Chung, and one from Tsui Wo House in Tai Wo Estate.

The government said it had assigned staff to visit a total of 1,686 households at the estates, although 236 did not answer the door.

It said it would take follow-up measures.

Both blocks were cordoned off on Wednesday evening after a number of Covid infections were linked to the buildings.
