Three cases found at Kwai Chung and Tai Po lockdowns

Health officials on Thursday found a total of three preliminary positive Covid cases at two overnight lockdowns in Kwai Chung and Tai Po, during which nearly 4,000 people were tested for the coronavirus.

Two preliminary positive cases were found at Yam Yue House on Shek Yam East Estate in Kwai Chung and one at Tsui Wo House on Tai Wo Estate.

The government said it had assigned staff to visit a total of 1,686 households at the estates, among which 236 did not answer the door.

It said it would take follow-up measures.

Both blocks were cordoned off on Wednesday evening, after earlier Covid cases had been linked to the buildings.
