Temperatures set to tumble, observatory warns

The Hong Kong Observatory is warning that temperatures are set to tumble on Monday and people will need to take care to keep warm.

Temperatures of around 15 degrees are forecast for urban areas by nighttime, while it will be a couple of degrees colder in parts of the New Territories.

“A cold front will cross the coast of Guangdong in the small hours tomorrow (Monday) with strengthening winds from the north, and will bring cloudy sky and some rain to the region. The weather is expected to become appreciably cooler,” the observatory said.

The next couple of mornings are also expected to be cold, it added.

Temperatures are forecast to gradually rise again throughout the week.
