Stand News chief editor Chung Pui-kuen steps down

Stand News’ editor-in-chief, Chung Pui-kuen, said on Sunday that he had stepped down from the post, citing “family reasons”.

Writing on his social media account, Chung said deputy chief Patrick Lam had taken over from November 1.

Chung thanked readers for supporting Stand News over the years.

“I hope everyone will continue to support the Stand News team. They are kind, sincere and perseverant. I am proud of having been a team member,” he said.

Chung is the husband of Chan Pui-man, an executive of the now-defunct Apple Daily who’s being remanded over national security offences.
