Parents or guardians can book a third jab for kids who have received the second dose for at least three months via the government’s online system.
The arrangement was announced after expert committees decided last week that children of that age group should receive a Sinovac booster three months after they took their second dose.
Currently, children aged five to 11 can receive up to two doses of either the Sinovac or the BioNTech vaccines, but those under 5 but aged 3 or above are only eligible for up to two Sinovac doses.
Authorities said children must either bring with them a consent form signed by their parents or guardians to get the jab, or walk in to a vaccination centre with their parents or guardians.
The government added that people aged 60 or above who have received three Covid doses for three months can make a booking for their fourth shot from Thursday.
