Security chief discharged from hospital after surgery

Security Secretary Chris Tang was discharged from hospital on Saturday, following minor surgery on his elbow.

Tang said his elbow had become inflamed after he injured it last week.

“The doctor suggested minor surgery to deal with the infection. I had my surgery on Thursday night. I continued to work on Friday,” he told reporters following his discharge from St Teresa’s Hospital.

“I returned to hospital last night for a check up. The wound will need further follow up.”

The Security Bureau issued a statement on Friday night, saying the injury had not affected Tang’s work.
