Rescuers look for officer missing from capsized boat

Rescuers were searching for a policewoman who has gone missing after a patrol boat capsized on Saturday.

The marine police vessel was in the waters off Tuen Mun, near Sha Chau, when it overturned at about 8am.

Three out of four people who fell from the boat were pulled to safety.

Police Commissioner Raymond Siu visited them at Tuen Mun Hospital in the afternoon.

It was understood that two suffered light injuries, while the other required a neck brace.

Marine police, firefighters and the Government Flying Service have been deployed to look for the missing officer.

The upended patrol boat was towed away in the afternoon.
