A District Court judge ruled on Monday that six people have a case to answer in connection with a mob attack on MTR passengers and other civilians at Yuen Long station on July 21, 2019.

They were said to be part of a white-shirted gang that went on the rampage.

Two of the eight defendants facing rioting charges had already pleaded guilty.

The trial continues on Tuesday with one of the defendants, Ng Wai-nam, set to represent himself and testify.

Video footage from the station has been presented in court, with a number of victims testifying anonymously.
