Online media firm raided by security police, six held

National security police say they have arrested six senior staff members or former senior staff members of an online media company for conspiracy to publish seditious publication.

Those arrested include three men and three women, aged 34 to 73.

Over 200 uniformed and plainclothes officers raided the office of the online media company in Kwun Tong, according to the police.

The force also revealed that the homes of those detained were being searched on Wednesday morning.

Stand News said national security police went to the home of its deputy assignment editor Ronson Chan around 6am Wednesday morning. Chan is the current chairman of the Hong Kong Journalists Association.
