One dead, eleven injured in Shek Kip Mei fire

A fire at a flat in Pak Tin Estate in Shek Kip Mei has killed one person and injured eleven others, with firefighters saying they heard reports that there was a dispute before the blaze.

The fire broke out at about 2:30am and was put out about thirty minutes later.

The man who died was rushed to hospital after he jumped from the building, while most of those injured felt unwell after inhaling smoke.

About six hundred people were evacuated.
