One Covid case found in Kwai Chung lockdown

Health officials on Monday said a resident of Shek Wah House in Kwai Chung’s Shek Lei (II) Estate has tested preliminary positive for Covid during an overnight lockdown, while a separate lockdown in To Kwa Wan found no cases.

Shek Wah House, where about 1,872 people were tested, was locked down after the virus was found in sewage samples. The Centre for Health Protection says it will follow up on the preliminary positive case.

Meanwhile authorities lifted an overnight lockdown at four back-to-back tenement buildings in To Kwa Wan on Monday morning, where no coronavirus cases were found.

Officials say they tested about 55 people at 18, 20, Yin On Street and 17, 19, Tsun Fat Street after starting the lockdown at 8pm on Sunday.
