No Covid cases found in two overnight lockdowns

Health officials said they did not find any Covid-19 cases after two lockdown operations in Cheung Sha Wan and Tai Po concluded on Tuesday morning.

One of the residential buildings that was locked down overnight was Po Wah Court in Cheung Sha Wan, where a family – connected to the Silka Hotel case – live.

They include a 29-year-old takeaway food courier as well as a nine-year-old boy who last went to Li Cheng Uk Government Primary School on Friday. The family members were quarantined on Saturday and four of them tested preliminarily positive yesterday.

The other lockdown – at Kui Wo House in Tai Wo Estate, Tai Po – involves an indeterminate test result from a 23-year-old woman, who’s asymptomatic.

Authorities are verifying her case but in the meantime, decided to test residents to rule out any infection risks.

Around 2,550 people were tested in the two operations.
