No cases found in three overnight lockdowns

Three overnight lockdown and testing operations concluded on Thursday morning with no one testing positive.

Officials moved in on Wednesday evening at Serene Court in Tin Hau Temple Road, Causeway Bay and Rock View Gardens on Tat Chee Avenue in Kowloon Tong, as well as Block 15 of the Provident Centre on Wharf Road in North Point.

People who could show that they’d been tested were allowed to leave from about 7am.

At North Point, about 320 residents took a test. In Causeway Bay,135 people were tested. There were no cases among the 60 people tested at Kowloon Tong.

The operations were ordered after people who live in each of the buildings tested preliminary positive for a mutant coronavirus strain.

Resident were instructed to stay home until the operations were concluded.

In addition, anyone who has stayed in any of the three buildings for more than two hours at any time from December 16 to Wednesday must be tested by Friday.
