Man, 64, arrested over brother’s murder

Police have arrested a 64-year-old man on suspicion of murder after his 68-year-old brother was stabbed to death with a fruit knife in Tai Po on Sunday.

Officers said the suspect called them to a village house in Tin Liu Ha, She Shan Road, at about 6.45pm, reporting that his elder brother had collapsed.

Police said the man had sustained multiple injuries and was certified dead at scene.

The force said initial investigation indicated that the suspect assaulted his brother with the fruit knife. He is being detained for enquiries.

The fruit knife was seized, and police say a post-mortem will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death.
