Ma On Shan lockdown finds 64 Covid infections

Health authorities say they have found 64 preliminary positive Covid cases during a two-day lockdown of a public housing block in Ma On Shan and residents in the clear are now allowed to leave their homes again.

The lockdown of Yiu Ping House in Yiu On Estate started on Wednesday afternoon and was extended after officials found several dozen suspected infections.

The compulsory testing exercise was finished at around 11:30am on Friday.

Three of the test results were indeterminate.

The government earlier decided to seal off the building after sewage samples there tested positive for the coronavirus.
