Lucky draw to be held for New Year countdown concert

The Hong Kong Tourism Board says it will hold its first-ever New Year countdown concert and will distribute 3,000 tickets by lucky draw.

The concert will be held at the Art Park in the West Kowloon Cultural District. It will also be live-streamed.

Registration for the lucky draw is open from November 15 to 26.

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and a number of singers, including popular boy band MIRROR, will perform at the show.

The board said participants aged over 18 must be double jabbed against Covid-19, while people aged between 12 and 17 must have taken at least one shot of the coronavirus vaccine before they attend the concert.

They are required to use the LeaveHomeSafe app and wear face masks when attending the show.

It’s the first large-scale countdown event held by the board in three years after activities were scrapped in view of the social unrest in 2019 and the pandemic in 2020.
