Lockdowns imposed in Kowloon Tong, CWB, North Point

The government on Wednesday evening locked down three residential blocks, in Kowloon Tong, Causeway Bay and North Point after people who live in each of the buildings tested preliminary positive for a mutant coronavirus strain.

Officials said residents at Rock View Gardens on Tat Chee Avenue, Serene Court on Tin Hau Temple Road and Block 15 of the Provident Centre on Wharf Road in North Point are required to stay at home and undergo testing, as the risk of infection in the areas is likely to be higher.

Officials said they aim to finish their operations by around 7am on Thursday morning.

In addition, anyone who has stayed in the three buildings for more than two hours from December 16 to Wednesday must be tested by Friday.
