Lei Tung Estate block under Covid lockdown

The government on Sunday locked down a housing block in Lei Tung Estate in Ap Lei Chau, having considered factors such as the viral load in sewage and information on positive cases there.

Residents of Tung Yat House and visitors who’ve recently been there for more than two hours must get tested for Covid.

Officials look to complete the PCR testing at around 1pm on Monday.

Meanwhile, an overnight lockdown found seven infections at Hin Yau House of Hin Keng Estate in Sha Tin.

Twenty-one cases were deemed indeterminate.

They were among nearly 1,600 people tested there.
