Federation of Trade Unions lawmaker Alice Mak said on Wednesday that she tested preliminary positive for Covid-19.
In a Facebook post, Mak said she had been self-isolating at home after a family member tested positive.
She said she had been doing rapid tests every day and the result came back positive on Wednesday morning.
She said she had earlier submitted a deep throat saliva specimen to health authorities and was awaiting the result.
The lawmaker said she feels fine and is working from home.
