Horse trainer Dennis Yip positive for Covid: HKJC

The Hong Kong Jockey Club said on Monday that horse trainer Dennis Yip had tested positive for Covid-19.

It was one of the regular tests he had to undergo at the Sha Tin Racecourse.

Yip had since been isolated pending further instructions from health authorities and the club was also trying to trace his close contacts.

Yip attended the Sha Tin race meeting on Sunday and trackwork on Monday, the club said, as his previous test results had come back negative.

The club said trainers and jockeys are required to take a compulsory PCR test every day as a condition to attend race meetings, trackwork and other activities inside the racecourses.
