Hong Kong on Sunday reported no new coronavirus cases – the sixth consecutive day with zero local cases.
But sources said there were a few preliminary positive cases.
The Centre for Health Protection also said it’s still unable to trace the source of a local infection with a mutant strain found a week ago.
Meanwhile, a board member of the Hospital Authority, Franklin Lam, said people should stay vigilant despite the relatively low number of infections recently.
He stressed on a radio programme that it only takes one infection to spark a major outbreak.
Lam complained that many people who refuse to get vaccinated have over-estimated the risks involved with taking the jabs.
