Hong Kong reports eight imported Covid cases

The Centre for Health Protection on Sunday reported eight new, imported cases of Covid-nineteen, of which seven are confirmed to involve mutant strains. Testing on the other patient was inconclusive.

Two of the patients arrived from the UK, with the others having travelled from France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, India and Kenya. The three men and two women are aged between 20 and 62. Two travelled via Finland, two via Qatar and one via the UAE.

Three of them tested positive on arrival at the airport while the remaining five were in quarantine hotels.

All of them had received at least two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.
