Hong Kong adds six imported Covid cases

Hong Kong recorded six new imported Covid-19 cases on Wednesday.

Health officials said they were particularly concerned about one case, involving a 43-year-old domestic helper who arrived from Indonesia at the beginning of last month.

The woman repeatedly tested negative during her quarantine period, but her samples came back with various results after she moved into her employer’s residence in Heng Fa Chuen, authorities said.

The fully vaccinated helper also tested positive in an antibody test.

The Centre for Health Protection said the woman appeared to be a re-positive case, adding that the places where she lived and visited during the incubation period, including Victoria Park and Block 37 of Heng Fa Chuen, have been included in a compulsory testing notice.
