HK records eight new imported Covid cases

Health authorities on Tuesday reported eight new imported Covid-19 cases.

One of the patients, a 54-year-old woman, tested negative before flying to the United States on Thursday, but was found to be carrying the virus when she came back on Sunday.

She lives in Serenity Villa in Tai Po.

The Centre for Health Protection said as a precaution, the places where she stayed and visited in Hong Kong during the incubation period will be put under a mandatory testing order.

The other travellers who tested positive for Covid-19 returned from the United Kingdom, Germany, Pakistan, Ghana, Qatar, Austria and the United Arab Emirates.
