Group complains against judge in Yuen Long case

A group supporting people who took part in the Yuen Long incident two years ago have filed a complaint against the judge who sent seven men to jail.

The convenor of the Treasure Friendship Group, Sandy Li, said on Monday that 100,000 people had signed a letter of complaint against District Court judge Eddie Yip.

The group said they don’t think what happened on July 21, 2019 should have been classified as a riot and the prison terms of between 3.5 and 7 years the men received last month were too harsh.
