Government orders Covid testing at 12 kindergartens

The government on Monday ordered compulsory Covid testing at 12 kindergartens and nursery schools, and one primary school, after an outbreak of upper respiratory tract infections. It said the move was a precaution, as symptoms were similar to Covid but fully-vaccinated people would not need to get tested.

The schools are:

1) The Kwun Tong Methodist Kindergarten in Kwun Tong
2) SKH St Christopher’s Nursery (Kwai Chung)
3) Karlam Anglo-Chinese Kindergarten and Karlam Nursery in Yuen Long
4) Yuen Long Church (CCC) Chan Kwong Kindergarten
5) Yuen Long Church (CCC) Chan Kwong Kindergarten No 2
6) Caritas Nursery School – Tsui Lam in Tseung Kwan O
7) ESF International Kindergarten (Wu Kai Sha) in Ma On Shan
8) Po Leung Kuk Tin Ka Ping Kindergarten in Tsing Yi
9) Yuen Long Sam Yuk Kindergarten
10) Hong Kong Ling Liang Church Tsuen Wan Kindergarten
11) Talent Kindergarten & Nursery in Tin Shui Wai
12) Primary one of Tuen Mun Government Primary School.

Separately, Hong Kong recorded zero Covid cases on Monday.
