The government says four people were sent to hospital on Sunday after receiving their Covid-19 vaccinations. Two have been discharged and the other two have been kept in for observation.

It said 7,900 people had received their first dose Sinovac jab on Sunday, and 5,400 the BioNTech jab. The attendance rate for the reserved slots was 73 percent and 86 percent respectively.

The government said total of 190,700 people had received their jab, with about 82 percent opting for the Sinovac vaccine and about 18 percent the BioNTech.

Assuming Hong Kong’s population is 7.5 million, this means about 2.54 percent of the population has received its first vaccine dose.
