Fire on Temple Street injures four

Four people were injured after a fire broke out in a subdivided flat in Yau Ma Tei on Friday morning.

Firefighters said they were called to the scene at Sing On Building on Temple Street at around 7.35am, and the fire was put out after 15 minutes.

A 34-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman inside the sixth-floor unit where the fire took place suffered burns.

Two others who lived in another unit were hurt after they fell from a window while trying to escape.

Officials said about 40 people evacuated to safety on their own.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
