East Rail returning to normal after person on track

The MTR on Saturday said services were gradually returning to normal, after an incident involving a person on the track near Mong Kok East had earlier disrupted services.

Services between Hung Hom and Kowloon Tong were suspended just before 8.30 am, while trains between Kowloon Tong and Sheung Shui ran at six- to eight-minute intervals.

At about 9.20 am, the railway company said the incident had now ended.
