Driver arrested after fatal crash in Sai Wan Ho

Police on Thursday arrested a 60-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death over a traffic accident in Sai Wan Ho that left one man dead and another man injured.

The crash happened at around 4:30pm when a seven-seater reportedly lost control on Sai Wan Ho Street, rammed into a minibus stop pole and three stationary motorcycles, before it mounted the pavement and hit two pedestrians.

A 67-year-old man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Eastern Hospital where he was certified dead.

A 51-year-old man suffered shoulder injuries.
