Cold weather forces closure of Fanling jab centre

Authorities on Monday said Covid-19 vaccination at the pop-up community centre at Wo Hing playground in Fanling was suspended from 2:30pm due to cold and unstable weather.

A government spokesperson said in a statement that services will resume at 9am on Thursday.

People affected by the closure will have their bookings rescheduled to a later date.

Meanwhile, online reservations for Sinovac jabs opened on Monday for children and teenagers aged between three and 17 at the new Central Library vaccination centre.

The centre in Causeway Bay will start to operate on Wednesday, and all available slots for the day have already been snapped up.

The centre is also fully booked on February 26.
