A daughter of a member of staff at the Saudi Arabian consulate in Hong Kong became the SAR’s latest confirmed Covid-19 patient on Wednesday.
The imported case was the only one reported by the Centre for Health Protection.
The 17-year-old girl had been in quarantine after her younger brother and sister were earlier confirmed to have the virus.
The siblings were all found to be carrying strains with the L452R mutation.
The discovery of the earlier infections prompted a lockdown in Taikoo, as the teenagers had been exempted from hotel quarantine since flying into the territory.
