Another centre to give Sinovac to children, over 60s

A new vaccination centre offering Sinovac jabs to children, and people aged 60 and above, will start operating in Cheung Sha Wan from Monday.

The centre, at Hong Kong Spinners Industrial Building, can provide 2,000 doses each day to children aged between 3 and 17, as well as the city’s older residents.

Bookings for the shots can be made online.

Civil Service Secretary Patrick Nip, who’s in charge of the vaccination programme, said he’s grateful to the Fung Group for providing the venue free of charge.

“We are focusing on the vaccination service for children, teenagers and elderly persons, and paying the utmost effort to provide them with the greatest convenience in vaccination, thereby speeding up the pace of their vaccination,” he said.

The new site is the second vaccination centre, after one at the Central Library in Causeway Bay, that is dedicated to children and the over 60s.
