Aberdeen residential building locked down

The government has locked down a residential building in Aberdeen, following the discovery of a preliminary positive case, which may involve the Delta variant.

The case, a 23-year-old woman, works at the Little Boss pet shop in Causeway Bay and had hotpot with friends in Yau Ma Tei. Health officials say she is infected with the L452R mutant strain, which is found in the Delta variant of the coronavirus.

Authorities have locked down 2-4, Tung Sing Road, in Aberdeen, where she lives.

Residents are required to stay put until the operation finishes at about 6.30am tomorrow.
