Aberdeen lockdown ends with no positive cases

Health officials said on Monday that they tested about 55 people during a lockdown in Aberdeen but no positive results were found.

The lockdown of 2-4 Tung Sing Road followed the discovery of a preliminary positive case, which may involve the Delta variant.

The case, a 23-year-old woman, works at the Little Boss pet shop in Causeway Bay and had hotpot with friends in Yau Ma Tei.

Health officials said on Sunday the woman was infected with the L452R mutant strain, which is found in the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
