26 preliminary cases in Tuen Mun, Sha Tin lockdowns

Health officials said on Sunday they found 26 preliminary positive Covid cases during overnight lockdowns in Tuen Mun and Sha Tin.

Eleven of them live in Sun Yuet House and two are from Sun Wai House at Sun Chui Estate in Sha Tin.

They are among 3,870 people tested.

The other two cases were found in Hing Cheung House in Tai Hing Estate, Tuen Mun, among 2,633 people tested.

Meanwhile, authorities had extended the lockdown for Hing Tai House for another day, after identifying 11 preliminary cases there.

On Saturday, Hong Kong reported a record 351 Covid cases – more than double the previous highest daily total. All but eight were locally transmitted with 161 untraceable.
